How to take good photos to sell faster

The photo is the first thing a buyer sees, and often the only thing that decides whether they message you or scroll past. You don't need a professional camera: with your phone and a few simple tricks, your listings look more trustworthy and sell faster.

Use natural light

Shoot during the day, near a window, no flash. Natural light shows the item's real colors and condition. Avoid harsh shadows and night photos with yellow light: they look careless.

Neutral background, clean item

Place the item on a plain, distraction-free background (a wall, a cleared table). Clean it first: dust and clutter lower the perceived price. The star is what you're selling, nothing else.

Multiple angles and the details

Upload several photos: front, back, sides and close-ups of brands, serial numbers and any important detail. And show the flaws too: honesty builds trust and prevents returns and complaints.

Let the AI start from your photo

On Reloot, the same photo you use for a good listing works for the appraisal: the AI recognizes the item, estimates its resale value and writes the listing. A good photo = better appraisal and better listing.

Yes. With good natural light, a neutral background and several angles, phone photos are more than enough to sell fast and with confidence.

Should I show the flaws in the photos?

Yes. Showing flaws builds trust, attracts serious buyers and prevents complaints or returns after the sale.
